Primarily it does this through the use of a disinfectant-ready housing that resists potential damage from cleaning agents. Also, it features a Patient Do-Not-Disturb mode that disables audio feedback and produces additional visual notification options. The wired unit has a very capable scanning system as well, using Adaptus area-imaging technology for fast reading of 1D, 2D, PDF, OCR, and Postal symbologies. This works well with the ColorFusion technology for color imaging with the 838 x 640 resolution sensor to capture low contrast, high-density, translucent, or even damaged barcodes.
